BREAKING: Stolen Ripley cows found as man arrested

Seven cows – worth around £17,500 – that were stolen this week have been found.

North Yorkshire Police said this morning (July 20) a man in his 30s from the West Yorkshire area has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

The theft took place on July 26 at Newton Hall farm in Ripley and the cattle were recovered by police on the night of July 29.

The farmer has been told, and now arrangements are being made for the safe return of the cows.
