Wickens, 34, of St John’s Road, was charged with driving without due care and attention, and speeding.
He pleaded guilty and was given six penalty points and ordered to pay more than £850 of fines and costs at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Wednesday (September 30).
After the hearing, Richard Fletcher, from North Yorkshire Police, said:
The consequences of this driving could have been extremely serious. Our safety camera vehicles can capture offences like this, ensuring that drivers who put others at risk are held to account for their actions.
