Man on the run after escaping police at Harrogate hospital
Police are trying to find a 22-year-old man who escaped from officers at Harrogate District Hospital today.
Ethan Platt was arrested today for breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order.
A North Yorkshire Police statement said:
While receiving treatment at hospital, he managed to evade officers and left the hospital grounds.
Extensive enquiries and searches are now underway to locate him, and we believe he may be in the Harrogate area.
Although Ethan is not believed to pose a risk to the wider public, officers are keen to locate him as quickly as possible.
The Stray Ferret understands Platt was handcuffed when he escaped.
He is described as white, about 180cm (5ft 11in) tall, with a slim build, blue eyes and brown hair.
Police urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 999 immediately quoting NYP-30102026-0071. Do not approach him.
