A new dental practice is set to open in Ripon, as a sister practice to one already operating in Boroughbridge.

Ripon Dental Centre will be located on Finkle Street, where a previous dental practice was located for around 50 years.

Plans have been approved to develop the practice from five to seven surgeries, including step-free access, an automatic entrance door and a dedicated children’s play area.

When it opens, on a date yet to be announced, the practice will offer private dentistry – but it is hoped that in future it will be able to offer NHS dentistry too.

The dental centre is currently waiting on the necessary approval from the local dental commissioners and the CQC before it can open.

The hope is that it will be opening towards the end of the year, and local people are encouraged to register their interest in advance.

The original practice, Boroughbridge Dental Centre, has also been recently extended, with two new treatment rooms created and two new team members hired.
