Temporary traffic lights on Ripon Road in Harrogate are to remain in place for two weeks.
The lights were installed this morning (August 28) and are set to be in place until September 13.
This set of roadworks, situated opposite the Cygnet Hospital, follows the installation of another set of temporary traffic lights at the junction of Ripon Road and Jennyfield Drive on Tuesday.
Both sets of roadworks will facilitate work by Northern Powergrid. A spokesperson for the company said:
We're carrying out a phase of work to install and connect new electricity cables, helping to improve the resilience and reliability of the local electricity network.
No excavation works are taking place on Ripon Road. However, temporary traffic management will be in place in this area to support works on nearby roads and help maintain the safety of our teams, pedestrians and road users.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for journeys as a result of the roadworks.
