Five fires started deliberately in Ripon wood
Police are investigating after five small fires were set in a Ripon woodland.
On July 26 at 5:16pm North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Whitcliffe Lane.
It found five small fires, each about 1 x 1 metres, in some woodland.
The fire crews used knapsack sprayers and buckets of water to extinguish the fires.
As the fires were thought to have been started deliberately police were informed.
The Stray Ferret asked North Yorkshire Police for comment.
