Stalking charge against Harrogate man dropped
The case of Harrogate man accused of stalking has been dropped - but a restraining order still imposed.
Christopher Longhurst, 40, appeared at York Magistrates Court on March 9 when he denied an offence of stalking without fear, alarm or distress.
Mr Longhurst was accused of stalking a woman between June 1 and 21 last year.
He was due to stand trial at Harrogate Magistrates Court last Friday (May 21), but the case against him was dismissed that day due to a lack of evidence.
However, Mr Longhurst was made subject to a 12-month restraining order on acquittal in relation to the same allegation.
