Harrogate woman admits fleeing taxi without paying fare
A Harrogate woman has admitted fleeing a taxi without paying the fare.
Charlotte Hill, 42, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court last Friday (May 22) charged with three offences: assault by beating, making off without payment and drunk and disorderly in a public place.
She admitted all three charges.
According to court documents, Hill was found to be drunk and behaving in a disorderly manner on Bramham Drive in Harrogate on February 1 this year.
In addition, Hill took a taxi somewhere in Harrogate on March 28, but when the time came to pay the fare, she made off without paying the £10.40 that was due.
On the same day, also in Harrogate, she assaulted a named man by beating him.
The case was adjourned for sentence until July 31, when Hill, of Bramham Drive, will return to the same court.
