Jet2 has announced the launch of flights and holidays to Tunisia, direct from Leeds Bradford Airport, starting next year.
The tour operator will offer weekly Saturday services to the North African holiday hotspot between May 1 and October 30.
Jet2 will become the first tour operator to offer direct flights from the Yorkshire airport.
Holidaymakers travelling from Leeds Bradford to Tunisia currently have to make at least one connection, with travel times at over three-and-half hours, excluding stopover time.
As well as flights, customers can also choose from a range of three to five star hotels in resorts around the area.
Today’s (June 18) announcement means Jet2 will fly to 56 destinations from Leeds Bradford in Summer 2027, with recently added destinations also including Hurghada, Preveza, Santorini, Sharm el Sheikh and Tivat.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2, said:
With year-round sunshine, rich culture and fantastic sunshine, Tunisia has something for everyone and we know how immensely popular it will be.
Declan Maguire, aviation director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said:
“We’re delighted that Tunisia is joining an ever-growing list of exciting destinations available for travel from Leeds Bradford Airport”
