WATCH: A tour of Ripon Workhouse Museum's £2.8m restoration
This week, Ripon Workhouse Museum reopened after a £2.8 million restoration.
The refurbishment offers a new immersive visitor experience and has also seen previously closed-off areas opened to the public for the first time ever, including the cellar of the Grade II listed building.
The Stray Ferret took a tour of the museum to find out more about the refurbishment and what it was like to be in the workhouse in the 1850s.
