A 62-year-old Harrogate man has denied a string of child-sex offences against a family member.
The man, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared at York Crown Court yesterday (December 1) when he pleaded not guilty to 12 allegations including two counts of inciting a child family member to engage in sexual activity and six counts of sexual activity with a child family member.
He is accused of two further counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one count of sexual communication with a child and one count of causing a child to watch a sexual act.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred between May 2020 and October 2021.
Judge Simon Hickey adjourned the case for a trial starting on October 26 next year.
