A new tattoo business in Harrogate will be holding an open day this weekend after it opened its doors for the first time on Wednesday (June 10).

LS Tattoo & Piercing Collective occupies the premises where North Star tattoo studio used to be, but it has been renamed and rebranded by tattooist Lee Devor and piercer Sarah Parker, who bought the business from North Star owner Keith Hammond.

Lee, who is originally from Croydon in south London, has been a tattoo artist for 16 years, having served his apprenticeship in Great Yarmouth, and later working in Ripon and Thorne, near Doncaster.

He told the Stray Ferret:

I hope to get it as busy as I can. I want to get two more tattooists in so I can take a step back and concentrate on my passion for portraits and realism, for example for people who want a picture of a loved one who has passed away, or a pet. That’s what sets us apart.

To celebrate the launch of their rebranded business, the couple will be holding an open day this Saturday (June 13) from 10am till 5pm, when tattoos will be available at reduced prices.

Sarah said:

People are welcome to come along, meet the team, have a look around the studio, ask questions, discuss tattoo and piercing ideas, and see what we're all about.

Whether they're already tattoo enthusiasts or just curious, everyone is welcome.

LS Tattoo & Piercing Collective is at 18 Station Parade, next to Up & Running.
