Police appeal after 'large-scale disorder' at Ripon pub
Police have issued an appeal after “large-scale disorder” at a pub in Ripon.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened at 1.30pm on Friday, May 8, at the One Eyed Rat pub in Ripon.
Officers said a group of individuals entered the premises where a verbal altercation involving several people developed.
Shortly afterwards, while in an outdoor seating area, an 18-year-old was approached by a male and punched to the face, the force added.
The situation rapidly escalated into a wider disturbance involving around 20 people. During the disorder, it is reported that a chair was thrown and a second victim was assaulted, receiving a blow to the back of the head.
Police have now issued an appeal to speak to two men, pictured above, who may be able to help with its investigation.
A force statement added:
Officers would particularly like to speak with the two individuals depicted in the images attached, as they believe these individuals may be able to provide important information to assist the investigation.
Police are also asking for the public’s help to identify and name these males if they are known.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, has mobile phone footage, or can help identify those involved.
