Adam Schoon – Antiques Roadshow expert

Antiques Roadshow expert Adam Schoon is coming to Harrogate for a special valuation evening

A familiar face from the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow is heading to Harrogate for a special evening of antiques, stories and valuations.
Adam Schoon, one of the programme’s best-known antiques experts and a specialist in Asian art, will be appearing at The Yorkshire Hotel on Friday 16 October at 7pm, in an event organised by the Friends of the Mercer Art Gallery.
Adam will talk about his career in the antiques world, sharing stories and insights from his years working with fascinating objects and collections around the UK and Far East.
And there’s a chance to find out whether you have a hidden treasure at home. Guests can bring along a small item for Adam to examine and value during the evening should they wish.

Adam is generously donating his time to support the Friends of the Mercer Art Gallery, with funds raised helping to support Harrogate’s free public art gallery, its exhibitions, events and collections.

The Friends regularly organise talks and events to raise money for the Mercer and have supported projects including a new bespoke lighting system for the gallery.
The event takes place at Sky Bar, The Yorkshire Hotel, Harrogate, at 7pm on Friday 16 October.
