Tom Poster – pianist

Nicholas Collon – conductor

Renowned for their innovative approach to orchestral performance, Aurora Orchestra brings its trademark innovation to Harrogate this summer, joined by celebrated pianist Tom Poster. Under Principal Conductor Nicholas Collon, Aurora has grown since 2005 into one of the UK’s most distinctive ensembles, pioneering memorised performances of major orchestral works.
In the 2025/26 season, Aurora marks its 20th anniversary with major residencies at the Southbank Centre and Kings Place, alongside international debuts in Berlin and Rotterdam. Don’t miss their signature energy, creativity and joyful music-making brought to life in a programme featuring Jessie Montgomery’s thrilling work for strings, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A and Mozart’s mighty ‘Jupiter’ Symphony (performed entirely by memory!). This will be the first time the orchestra has played a memorised performance in the North of England.

The evening will conclude with something special as Aurora weave their own unique magic throughout the Royal Hall.

Innovative. Immersive. Vibrant.
