Welcoming John Meagher and Alun Cochrane to Wetherby:

After nominations for the BBC New Comedy Award, and Irish Comedian of the Year, John Meagher was a finalist in the Hackney Empire New Act of The Year, and Leicester Sq Theatre New Comedian of the Year awards. In 2022 he won the Panel Prize at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of “Best in Class”, the working-class stand-up showcase. He has supported legendary Irish comedian Patrick Kielty on his recent tour and works at all the major UK and Irish Comedy Clubs.

Award-winning stand up comedian Alun Cochrane has appeared on numerous TV shows including Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, Dave’s One Night Stand, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Russell Howard’s Good News. He was featured as series regular ‘Sam’ in the Sky Living sitcom Trying Again, alongside Chris Addison and has appeared in Coronation Street, Boomers and Russell Howard’s Christmas film A Gert Lush Christmas.’s a regular on BBC TV and Radio and his credits include Qi (BBC Two), Live At The Apollo (BBC One), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Celebrity Juice (ITV2) Mock The Week (BBC Two) Conspiracy Road Trip (BBC3) and High Road Low Road (rté)… to name but a few!
