We invite everyone to a summer’s evening filled with Indian classical music by sitar duo Ayan Sengupta and Srijanee Bannerjee accompanied by Ustad Shahbaz Hussian ‘Son of Lahore awardee’ on Tabla.

The sound of the taanpura drone sets the scene for the two renowned Indian music scholars to begin their sitar recital of seasonal Indian classical ragas, featuring intricate microtonal nuances and associated with particular times of day or seasons. Discover the beauty of ragas and talas, immerse yourself in the meditative power of Indian classical music, and let yourself unwind to this serene and evocative artform.
An evening of traditional Indian culture to leave your mind, body and soul fully recharged.

The recital will be preceded by a talk titled ‘Insights to Indian Classical Music’ with the three eminent musicians and chaired by Barsa Ray, published & listed author and Trustee at South Asian Arts-UK.
