Experience Bach through Raphael Wallfisch: the iconic cello suites illuminated by words from the composer’s personal diaries.

One of the greatest cellists of our time plays Bach’s cello suites 1, 3, 5 and 6 and provides insights into Bach’s extraordinary life with readings from his diaries. Extracts from suites 2 and 4 will be included within the narrative.

The iconic cello suites form the pinnacle of the entire cello repertoire, the ultimate challenge and a Mount Everest every cellist has to climb. Considered by many people to be some of the most beautiful music ever written.
