Harrogate beer festival returns

The Harrogate Charity Beer Festival is set to return next month.

The event will take place at The Crown Hotel on March 8 and 9 and will celebrate its 34th anniversary.

The festival supports local charities, including Martin House Children’s Hospice, Samaritans of Harrogate and District, Harrogate Easier Living Project and Harrogate International Festivals. The event has donated over £500,000 to charity so far.

It will have 40 cask ales and 10 kegged beers from breweries such as Black Sheep and Daleside, as well as local artisan gin producer Whittaker’s Gin.

More than 3,000 attendees are expected at the event and will see live music from local bands, including The Directors, and the award-winning DJ Mark Green. The Six Nations Rugby matches will also be broadcast at the event.

Craig Stephenson, chairman of this year’s festival, said:

“I am immensely proud of what we achieve together, your support not only makes this event possible but also helps us make a significant impact on our community. We look forward to welcoming you to two days filled with camaraderie, goodwill, and unforgettable memories.”

The charity beer festival is supported by Harrogate & District Round Table, a group of men aged 18-45 dedicated to fundraising, and fostering understanding among young men.

Entry costs £20, with upgrades available. More information can be found  here, and tickets are available online here.
