Harrogate’s North Bar ‘unaffected’ by sale of North Brewing Co
North Bar in Harrogate said today it was unaffected by the sale of North Brewing Co.
North Brewing Co, which operates several breweries and taprooms across Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham, announced on social media yesterday it had been acquired from administration by Kirkstall Brewery director Steve Holt.
The news that the brewery had entered administration last week sparked concern among local drinkers about the future of North Bar on Cheltenham Parade.
But when we called North Bar today we were told North Bar Ltd, which operates the company’s bars and venues, was a separate entity to North Brewing Co.

According to Insider Media, the firm said covid, Brexit, material cost increases and the cost of living crisis had caused “turbulence” in the hospitality and brewing industry that led to the administration.
