Taking place annually every year on August 1, Yorkshire Day is a proud tribute to England’s largest county.
It’s a day to celebrate Yorkshire's rich heritage, beautiful landscape and everything that makes the region in which we live so special – from the rolling hills of the Dales to the cobbled streets of the market towns.
Soak up the atmosphere and take part in some of the events that are happening to celebrate the spirit of Yorkshire.
The Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate, for example, is putting on various events, one of which is planting a white flower from seed to honour The White Rose of York that's broadly used as a symbol of Yorkshire. There will also be traditional snacks and drinks available to purchase in the studio.
Meanwhile, farm shop and café Fodder at the Great Yorkshire Showground will be offering free sampling from its Yorkshire suppliers, live music and Yorkshire food and drink from 4-8pm.
Now that the summer holidays are in full swing, you might be searching high and low for ideas of how to keep the kids or grandchildren entertained.
Then why not check out Lush's unique activity on Friday to make your very own bath bomb?
The store will have a random selection of bath bomb kits that could include everything from making a magic cow, a colourful butterfly, a sparkly star or even a magic potion.
Also don't forget to check out these nine activities to keep the whole family entertained for more inspiration too.
£6 per person, 2.30pm, August 1, Lush, 30 Cambridge Street, Harrogate, HG1 1RX.
