Harrogate Fake Festival is making a comeback this Saturday – with some somewhat familiar faces along the way.
Six professional tribute bands will take to the stage on The Stray to perform renditions of some much-loved rock and pop classics.
Among the fake band headliners are tribute acts copying the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, U2, Oasis and Bowie. Be quick though, as tickets usually sell out.
The event, which was first held in Harrogate in 2015, is family-friendly and welcomes people of all ages. As well as the music, there will also be rides, stalls and entertainment to keep children happy. Food traders and a bar will also be on offer.
From £32.50 for children aged 10 to 17 years old, £40 for adults, 11.45am-11pm, The Stray, Oatlands Drive, Harrogate, HG2 8JR.
The Thornborough Henges near Ripon are an ancient monument complex of three giant, circular earthworks that, despite stretching over a mile, are easy to miss if you don't know they're there.
The Northern Henge is open to the public and can be toured without a guide, but Friday and Sunday’s guided tour by English Heritage volunteers is a great opportunity to discover the secrets of the South Henge.
Free but booking required, guided tour at 11am on Friday, July 11 and Sunday, July 13, Thornborough Henges, New Lane, West Tanfield, DL8 2RD. Not suitable for wheelchairs, and there are no toilets on site.
Last year's Scotton Feast & Dog Show
The Scotton Feast summer fair and dog show will take place this Saturday.
The event showcases family-friendly activities, and funds raised will be put towards a village multi-use games area at Percy Fields.
There will be live music, classic fair games such as a coconut shy and welly wanging, as well as the renowned dog show where visitors can enter their dogs for a chance to win prizes in a selection of categories.
There will also be a range of food and drink stands, from a barbecue to homemade baked goods to craft ales and Pimm’s.
Organisers ask that attendees are mindful of limited parking and that all dogs must be on leads.
Free, 12noon-4pm, July 12, Scotton Village Hall, New Road, Scotton, Knaresborough, HG5 9HR.
