How Stean Gorge in Pateley Bridge is hosting its Dark Skies Activity and Pizza Nights as part of the Yorkshire Dales and Moors Dark Skies Festival.
Held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until March 29, 2025, the events are a unique blend of adventure, astronomy, and pizza.
Set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, canoe under the stars, or tackle How Stean Gorge's floodlit ferrata in case of inclement weather.
From £39 per person (pizzas sold separately), Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until March 29, 2025, Lofthouse, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5SF.
There’s a trio of Christmas markets on this weekend.
First up is Ripon Cathedral Christmas Food and Drink Fair on November 22 and 23 where you can visit more than 100 stalls selling Christmas gifts, food and drink, all to the backdrop of the stunning cathedral.
Then on November 24, it’s the annual outdoor pop-up Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) Christmas market at Harrogate Railway Athletic F.C where all proceeds will be going to Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT).
Also on this date is St Thomas’ Church Scotton Christmas Fair, which will feature games, gifts and festive treats.

A selection of homemade cakes will be available
Fewston Parochial Hall in Harrogate is hosting a pop-up café this weekend.
Held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday to raise funds for Dementia UK, hot food such as pie and pies, pulled pork sandwiches, jacket potatoes and soup will be served.
There will also be a selection of homemade cakes to enjoy with tea and coffee.
10am-4pm, November 23 and 24, Fewston Parochial Hall, Fewston, Harrogate, HG3 1SU.
Boroughbridge Funfair is back this weekend.
Taking place from Thursday to Sunday, expect all the usual rides such as dodgems, the waltzer and cup and saucer, as well as three brand new rides too.
There will also be traditional stalls to play at, and classic fairground fare to enjoy such as candy floss.
Entry is £12 for access to all rides with the wristband, 5pm-9.30pm November 21 and 22, 1pm-9.30pm November 23, 1pm- 7pm November 24, Back Lane Car Park, YO51 9AT.
The concert will be conducted by David Lawrence
Harrogate Choral Society is holding its Magnificat and More Contemporary Voices concert this Saturday.
Held at St Winifred’s Church, it will feature two works by Taylor Scott Davis, an up-and-coming American composer.
The choir will perform sparkling renditions of modern choral masterpieces including Matthew Coleridge’s Requiem, Taylor Scott Davis’s Magnificat and a re-working of Panis Angelicus by Rebecca Dale.
The concert will be conducted by David Lawrence with the National Festival Orchestra accompanying the choir. There will also be the opportunity to hear acclaimed Yorkshire-born soloist Eleanore Cockerham and attend a pre-talk before the concert.
