Mackenzies Farm Shop and Café is to serve its last customers today.
The business at Blubberhouses has been a popular destination for locals and visitors for many years. But it announced on social media that today will be its last day trading.
No reason for the decision was given, but many businesses in the area have been affected by long-term closures of part of the A59 recently due to landslips at Kex Gill.
Mackenzies has been under new management since November 2023, when Harrogate man David Suttill, who was café manager under the previous owners, took over with Aissa Guessis, from Bradford.
It has been running ‘50% off everything’ deals in recent days.
It confirmed the decision to cease trading in response to a post saying it was closing down.
