Business leaders will have the chance to quiz North Yorkshire Council officials tonight.
Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce will host its first meeting of the year with guest speakers Cllr Carl Les, Conservative leader of the authority, and Richard Flinton, chief executive.
The event will be a chance for business owners to hear an update on the ongoing devolution process, its impact on local businesses to date and the council’s plans for the region’s future growth and prosperity.
The meeting will be held at Rudding Park Hotel from 5.30pm to 8pm.
The event is open to both chamber members and first time visitors, both of whom will need to register their attendance in advance via the chamber website here.
A Harrogate opticians has achieved a sustainability certification.
Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, which is based on Parliament Street, has earned the recognition after offsetting its carbon emissions across its audiology services at seven of its practices throughout Yorkshire.
The opticians has practices in Harrogate, York and Headingley.
Megan Harper, sustainability manager at Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, said:
