A Harrogate man has denied a string of child sex charges including the alleged rape of a girl.
Stuart Lindsay, 65, is charged with 14 alleged sexual offences, as well as several counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared at York Crown Court yesterday (October 28) when he denied all allegations.
Mr Lindsay, of Dene Park Close, denied seven allegations of indecent assault on a girl under 14 years of age.
He also denied two allegations of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13, one count of attempting to have sexual intercourse with an under-age girl, one count of alleged rape and three counts of indecency with a child under 14.
The alleged sexual offences are said to have occurred in the 1980s. The complainants cannot be named for legal reasons.
Mr Lindsay also denied six counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, which also allegedly happened in the 1980s.
Judge Simon Hickey adjourned the case for a trial starting on September 22 next year. Mr Lindsay was granted bail until then.
