Harrogate teen charged with making indecent images of child
A teenager from the Harrogate area has been charged with making indecent images of a child.
Charlie Hepworth, of Clover Way near Killinghall, faces six counts of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.
Court documents allege the images fell into categories C and A – the latter being the most extreme.
Mr Hepworth has also been charged with two counts of blackmail.
The offences are alleged to have happened between August and November of 2021.
The 19-year-old’s case was heard at Harrogate Magistrates Court last Friday (March 21).
The case was referred to York Crown Court, where Mr Hepworth will next appear on April 28.
