Eight-hundred pounds worth of stamps were stolen from a Harrogate petrol station earlier this month.
North Yorkshire Police today said the incident, which happened at the Esso Woodlands Service Station on Wetherby Road, happened between 2am and 2.30am on May 6.
A man stole a mammoth amount of postal stamps through the night hatch, the force added.
The suspect was riding a bike at the time and is described as being six foot in height. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, grey trousers, a cap and had his hood up.
A force statement added:
We’re particularly appealing for information about the person responsible for this incident or whether anybody has any CCTV or dashcam footage from this time that may assist with our investigation.
