Rail operator Northern has doubled the cost of short-term parking at Harrogate train station.
It now costs £4 to park for up to two hours, compared with £2 previously.
The all-day parking charge has risen from £4 to £6.
Northern has also introduced a £10 fee for overnight parking, which was previously free.
A spokesperson for Northern said:
We introduced a number of new parking charges in May, after carrying out a detailed review of tariffs at 47 station car parks across our network.
We are confident the new charges will ensure sufficient space is available for customers and discourage overnight parking at various stations.
They will also help us to fund investment in our car parks and reduce our reliance on taxpayer subsidy.
The Northern spokesman added its review had led to charges being introduced at 13 of its car parks "and adjusted prices in a number of other locations, including Harrogate".
They added six tariffs were reduced and charges at 10 station car parks remained unchanged.
No other station car parks in the Harrogate district are believed to have been affected by the review.
