Three Harrogate RUFC players have been selected to represent Yorkshire for the upcoming county championship.
Yorkshire's senior men’s squad for the 2025 RFU Bill Beaumont County Championship included Harrogate forwards Martin Dodds and Steve Maycock and back-row Kristan Dobson.
The county championship is divided into three divisions, with Yorkshire competing in division one.
The divisions are then split again into pools, usually determined by geographical location. Division one has two pools, both with three teams each.
The winners of both pools then advance to the final of the competition, which is held at Twickenham stadium, where England play.
Yorkshire are in a pool with Somerset and Lancashire, which means a Roses derby match will take place.
If they finish top, they could play one of Cornwall, Hampshire or Kent in the final.
Harrogate Captain Sam Brady
Also, Harrogate captain Sam Brady has been selected to represent the Barbarians, one of the world’s most famous rugby union clubs.
The club captain was selected to appear in the Barbarians’ fixtures against Durham and Glasgow, on May 3 and 10 respectively.
