Two arrested following late-night collision in Harrogate
A man and a woman have been arrested following a collision in Harrogate in the early hours of this morning.
A North Yorkshire Police statement today said officers on patrol noticed a Kia Ceed being driven in suspicious circumstances on Mayfield Grove at 2am.
The statement added:
The driver failed to stop for officers, and drove away at high speed, before crashing into a parked van on Walworth Avenue.
A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested nearby, on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and other offences. The crashed car has been seized for forensic examination.
