This May half term it's all about birds and nature at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal.
Visitors can head to the bird hide that's just two minutes from the visitor centre to explore and discover the different birds that live in the trees.
Henshaws, a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities, has created papier-mâché versions that can be spotted in the deep green canopies, and visitors can use their spotter sheet to see what they can match.

If you’ve not yet been to Harrogate’s Indoor Funfair, now’s the time to do it.
With jaw-dropping rides, there will also be all the classic fairground attractions, including dodgems, waltzer and bumper cars, as well as inflatables for all ages.
The family-friendly event makes for a fun day out, and you can grab a bite to eat, as there’s an on-site café too.

The Thornborough Henges near Ripon are an ancient monument complex of three giant, circular earthworks that, despite stretching over a mile, are easy to miss if you don't know they're there.
The Northern Henge is open to the public and can be toured without a guide, but Friday's guided tour by English Heritage volunteers, is a great opportunity to discover the secrets of the South Henge.

Nidderdale Museum is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Visit to see its exhibits that are set out across 11 rooms and focus on rural life, with sections on agriculture, local industries, religion, transport and costume.
There are also displays that include re-creations of a Victorian schoolroom, a cobbler’s workshop, a 1930s hairdresser’s salon and a shop, among others. Watch the video above to get a flavour of what it's like.

A previous year's festival
Great Ouseburn’s annual garden festival is taking place this Sunday.
The event draws hundreds of visitors to explore more than 15 beautiful gardens, and features live music, and homemade treats in the pop-up café.
There will also be plant stalls, classic cars on display, a raffle, and an art show showcasing local artists' work.
Running since 1991, the festival raises vital funds for local causes such as the church, school, cricket club, youth group, and village hall.
