The highest speeds recorded in the county have been revealed by North Yorkshire Police.
A freedom of information request to the force asked for the highest speeds recorded in 2023 and up to August 31, 2024.
According to the police response, the highest speed in 2023 was 151mph. In 2024, it was 129mph.
The request also asked police to disclose the speed limit of the roads the highest speeds were recorded on, as well as the time of day and the roads they took place on.
The driver clocked at 151mph in 2023 was caught at 7.25pm on the 124-mile long A19, which has a 70mph speed limit.
The highest speed recorded up to August 31 this year was at 4.22pm on the 70-mile long A64, which also has a 70mph limit.
Police were also asked to share the highest speed recorded on a road with a 30mph speed limit.
