The Pavilions of Harrogate Decorative, Antiques & Art Fair is taking place in Harrogate from Friday to Sunday.
Held in the Wharfe and Aire rooms, it offers a wide variety of pieces for collectors, home furnishers, interior designers and anyone looking for decorative accessories.

These include ceramics, fine paintings, period furniture and rugs, fine glass and mirrors, while there will also be collector’s items such as classic and 20th century jewellery, antiquarian maps and prints for sale at this three-day event.
Tickets £5 in advance or £7.50 on the door, 11am - 5pm Fri and Sat, 11am-4.30pm Sunday, November 15-17, Pavilions of Harrogate, HG2 8NZ.
A previous year's Ripon Christmas light switch on
You can’t beat a Christmas lights switch on – it marks the start of the countdown to the festive season. And Ripon has its one this weekend.
Taking place at Ripon Market Square, there will be a fun afternoon for all the family with Santa and his reindeer in the grotto, free fairground rides and live entertainment too. Read more about it here.

Comic lovers can’t miss this weekend’s event, Thought Bubble Comic Convention, at Harrogate Convention Centre. Hailed as one of the largest comic art conventions in the UK, there will be more than 450 comic creating exhibitors, alongside publishers and retailers.
There will also be a weekend of panel shows, including one-on-one interviews, live drawing and industry-led discussions, as well as free workshops for everyone; from drawing lessons for beginners to guides on how to publish your own work. Not forgetting guest signings, a cosplay parade and a kids’ zone too.

It’s never too early to get prepared for Christmas and buy unique gifts.
And a good place to start is the artisan Christmas market which will be held at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall on Saturday.
There will be more than 15 small businesses selling local and unique gifts, as well as craft stall and activities, and even a festive pop-up mini photo shoot.
Other goings-on include festive Henna tattoos, live music and a mulled wine and cider bar.
Calcutt Village Hall in Knaresborough is also having its Christmas fair and coffee morning on Saturday, and will have craft, jewellery and book stalls, as well as a sale of new fabric and craft items.

Baby Broadway's first Harrogate concert is happening on November 17
Do you have a young family and are you looking for something fun to do in Harrogate this weekend?
Then how about heading to Baby Broadway, an interactive family concert that will fill your Sunday afternoon with feel-good songs from musicals and films.
It features professional West End singers who aim to have the whole family singing, dancing and clapping along and it also features bubbles, puppets and fun dance moves.
There will be hits from musicals and films such as Oliver!, The Sound of Music, Grease, Mary Poppins and Singin’ in the Rain, as well as a medley from Frozen.
