Summary: Newcastle Building Society are looking for a branch manager to work in their new Knaresborough office.

As part of our strategy of investing into communities and high streets, we are very excited that we will be opening a new branch of Newcastle Building Society in Knaresborough in a partnership approach and location in the local library, our 4th branch of this kind.

About you

You will manage and lead the branch team to deliver industry leading customer service, consistently adopting a proactive and positive approach with our customers, showing enthusiasm for the Society’s vision, policies and priorities in order to achieve the required business result.

You’ll take personal ownership in delivering these great results, growing the business and making our investment a success which is done through helping customers make the right account decision, take the best advice from our specialists and the creation of long lasting relationships.

You’ll work with the team to develop community relationships both within the library and local area to raise the profile of the branch and the Society.

Through great leadership and personal contribution you’ll ensure that all legislation, audits, code of practice and internal control requirements are met.

Following existing processes and procedures you’ll also manage and take responsibility for the oversight of cash management within the branch.

You will possess great communication skills and be able to motivate and lead from the front.

Your leadership and Customer Service skills will result in your team maintaining the industry leading levels of customer satisfaction and customer advocacy we strive for. A proven ability to lead a team that delivers the high standards we require is essential and will help us maintain the colleague advocacy standards we strive for.

Importantly, you will possess a proven record of successfully managing and leading a team successfully identifying and fulfilling the current and future needs of our customers.

A Banking or Finance Sector related background would be advantageous but it isn’t essential, we have great programmes of development to support any new entrant.
