Are you a talented sales and marketing professional who has the ability to sell media advertising to our clients? If you have experience of selling services and can deliver a first-class service yourself then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for a media sales executive to join our commercial team. The role includes selling advertising and media space to clients and potential clients and managing the relationship – including working with colleagues to ensure the account runs smoothly and delivers the desired outcomes.

The role requires a basic understanding of marketing to help sell all the options available on the Stray Ferret to clients.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a comprehensive understanding of available options and the pricing
  • Contacting businesses and other potential clients to build sales pipeline via phone, email, LinkedIn or visiting in person
  • Ensuring the CRM system is kept up to date with contact information and deals etc
  • Creating proposals following initial contact which delivers a perfect campaign in terms of outcomes and budget
  • Managing and developing strong relationships with existing clients to deliver a first-class service
  • Working to a monthly sales target which may require working outside normal business hours when necessary to achieve this eg, attendance at networking events

Key skills:

  • A creative thinker who listens to the client’s need to develop a promotional campaign which meets the client’s expectations
  • Attention to detail is paramount in this role – being able to put together well thought out proposals is important
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • IT literate with a good understanding of social media and how it works
  • Experience of working on WordPress is desirable
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the commercial team
  • Be able to manage a number of priorities without it affecting service delivery
