An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience of end-of-life care to join our In-patient unit ensuring the provision of a high level of specialist palliative care within a multi-disciplinary approach, and to be an effective and supportive leader to the nursing team.
Key responsibilities will include providing effective line management and being a positive role model to a team of nurses, supporting ongoing professional development, including regular contact meetings and appraisals, and providing support with revalidation.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate specialist palliative nursing care for allocated patients within the hospice and also act as Shift Coordinator regularly.
The Senior Team Nurse will be an active part of the clinical policy review team contributing to the organisation’s development of policies, procedures, guidance, and documentation to ensure safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led practice.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a current pin who can demonstrate experience and an interest in palliative care, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to patient care.
