Storm Darragh has already affected Knaresborough's big Christmas weekend, with the annual two-day Christmas market being postponed.
The Stray Ferret reported this afternoon (December 5) that the market organisers hope to reschedule the event for December 14 and 15.
It was one of many activities due to take place in Knaresborough this weekend.
The weekend attractions also include the annual Christmas tree festival, an artisan market, a Chrismouse trail, Knaresborough Connectors' Christmas craft workshop and Mother Shipton's magical Christmas experience.

More than 80 trees will be decorated in St John's for the 10th Great Knaresborough St John’s Christmas Tree Festival. Look for the spectacular centrepiece display, which is based on the theme of Good King Wenceslas.
The festival runs from Saturday, December 7 to Sunday December 22, but early bird visitors can avoid the crowds by attending a preview evening at 7pm on Friday, December 6, when the festival will be formally opened by the Bishop of Ripon.
Entrance is £5 per person, which includes refreshments. Seasonal music will be provided by St John’s choir, conducted by the town crier.
There will also be live entertainment from local choirs and music groups on all three Saturdays of the festival and the Christmas tree festival concert by St John’s Choir, and featuring Cadenza, Fun2Sing and special guest, local musician and artist, Paul Mirfin, takes place on Sunday, December 8 at 7pm.
The festival will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturdays; 12 noon to 4pm on Sundays; and noon to 5pm on weekdays, with refreshments and mulled wine available at the weekends. Admission to the festival is free, but there will be programmes and raffle tickets on sale.

Organised by Knaresborough Business Collective, this encourages children to find handmade mice on a trail around the town that includes 19 locations. Trail maps cost £3, which goes to charity, and are available from Ye Olde Chymist Shop.
The trail is already underway and runs until the end of the year.
This weekend also sees an artisan market held on Saturday, December 7 from 12-5pm at Gracious Street Methodist Church in support of food waste charity Resurrected Bites.
The weekend culminates with the fireworks at 4.30pm on Sunday, December 8.
