A Met Office yellow weather warning is in place across the Harrogate district from today (Thursday) until 6am on Sunday. Storm Darragh is forecast to bring gusts of wind up to 60mph on Saturday,.

The National Trust announces that Brimham Rocks will be closed on Saturday December 7 due to the forecast weather warning for high winds.

The outdoor market may have been postponed but we are still going ahead. Come to our lovely warm Knaresborough artisan market to buy your Christmas presents. If there is enough interest from stallholders who were planning to do the outdoor market, we may be able to extend the space we can offer so let us know if you want a stall and haven't booked one.
Little Bird Markets has cancelled its artisan market in Harrogate's Valley Gardens on Saturday (December 7) is off. So is the firm's market at Leeds Bond Court on the same day.
One of the local highlights of the festive season — Knaresborough's two-day Christmas market — has been postponed. Organiser Hazel Haas told the Stray Ferret she was "absolutely gutted" but hopes to rearrange it for December 15 and 16. Read more here.
