The latest addition to Harrogate’s food and drink scene will open its doors today (July 30).
Sushi Panda is a Japanese takeaway that has found a home on Knaresborough Road and will offer a range of sushi, poke bowls and mochi, a sweet Japanese dessert.
Head chef Iryna spent 14 years working as a trained sushi chef in Ukraine and hopes to bring “the real taste of sushi” to Harrogate.
Sushi Panda told the Stray Ferret the team, all from Ukraine, are “rebuilding our lives from scratch and truly love what we do”.
Every roll will be made from scratch and service is at the heart of the operation, the team added.
They said:
We’d be delighted to welcome you – come and enjoy the atmosphere, the warmth and, of course, the sushi!
The Sushi Panda team.
Sushi Panda, which officially opens its doors at noon today, operates primarily as a takeaway, but there are a small number of tables to dine in.
The new site will also feature a photobooth for customers.
Sushi Panda will open Tuesday to Sunday from midday until 9pm.
The team hope delivery options will also be available soon.
