Man dies in collision at Dishforth interchange
A man in his 20s has died following a collision at the Dishforth interchange on the A1(M).
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement tonight (June 13) the man was driving a blue BMW 1 Series which crashed on the A168/A1 at junction 49, on the southbound slip road.
The statement added:
It happened at around 11.55pm yesterday and no other vehicles were believed to be involved.
We attended along with ambulance and air ambulance teams, and sadly the man was pronounced dead despite our best efforts.
We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage of the collision or the vehicle in the moments leading up to it.

The road was closed until 9.30am this morning following the incident.
