It’s been a busy time for Harvey George recently. The team has recently wrapped up filming of its first television commercial, which will be broadcast on More4 and HGTV, as well as launching its first furniture collection, House of Elliot.

And although the company sells nationally, many people do not know that Harvey George is in fact a Yorkshire-based firm. 

Based at The Inspiration Centre in Unit 3 Hookstone Park in Harrogate, its showroom is a wonder for the eyes for those who are looking for ideas for home overhauls or new bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or office inspiration. Expect to see colour and bespoke solutions, as well as the made-to-measure vanity units for which the brand is known for.

Founded in 2016 by husband and wife team Shaun and Sophie Griffiths, they run the business together.

And the story extends to much further than that. As a sentimental touch to their two sons, Sophie and Shaun’s boys were the inspiration behind the naming of both the company and the furniture collection as their eldest son is in fact called Harvey George, whilst their youngest is called Elliot. 

The family-run company, which has Made in Britain accreditation, employs 25 people locally, including those who work at the factory in Hull.
