Knaresborough Duck Race has been postponed for a second time due to the weather.
Knaresborough Cricket Club, which organises the event on the River Nidd each year, originally planned to stage it on New Year's Day.
But strong winds forced it to be rescheduled for Sunday (January 5).
With Met Office weather warnings for snow and ice active this weekend, the race has once again had to be called off.
In a brief statement today, the club said:
We have no choice but to postpone again for Sunday. We are looking at running the race on January 12.
This annual charity event, which boasts a £100 prize for whoever draws the winning duck, raises money for sight loss charity Henshaws.
