The newest addition to Ripon's hospitality sector opened its doors at noon today, but before it did, the Stray Ferret was invited in for a sneak peek.

Husband and wife team Yantian and Kelly Luo, have transformed offices formerly occupied by solicitors into a sushi bar, restaurant and takeaway.

Located at 4 Kirkgate, e Sushi is owned and operated by the couple who have lived in Ripon for five years.

Ms Luo told the Stray Ferret:

We previously had a Chinese restaurant and takeaway in Leeds, which we ran for 15 years and with the growing popularity of sushi, we decided to switch from Chinese to Japanese cuisine and start looking for a suitable location in Ripon.

Because we live in the city, we knew that this would be the ideal place for us and we look forward to offering customers a different dining experience, which they can enjoy either in the restaurant or their own homes.

As well as its colourful cuisine, the e Sushi restaurant features some eyecatching paintings that add to the ambience of Ripon's latest arrival.
