Go diving in Harrogate

Diveshack is running pool sessions at Harrogate Ladies College swimming pool this weekend.

Aimed at empowering divers of all levels to explore the underwater world with confidence, they can be booked for anyone from the complete beginner for a Try Dive or for those who wish to keep their diving skills up to date.

The sessions last approximately three hours, and there are various options to choose from depending on if you need kit, or an instructor. The company also offers full refresher courses too.

Get the whole family involved in an art session

Create Moana-inspired art at ARTventurers at Killinghall Methodist Church.

This class is perfect for unleashing young children's creativity – especially for those from six months all the way up to eight years old. 

Themed on the renowned Disney film, you can make whatever takes your fancy in the one-hour class, including 2D and 3D artwork such as Gramma Tala-inspired necklaces.

Cheer for your favourites in this wrestling match

There’s an alternative Harrogate event coming to town – and that’s in the form of wrestling.

Taking place at Cedar Court Hotel, Megaslam is on tour this year and aims to give attendees and families an experience to remember with a series of action-packed matches designed to keep the whole family entertained and cheering.

Create your own jewellery

Make Harrogate is running a jewellery making workshop at Painting Pots in Knaresborough.

Attendees can make three to four pieces using polymer clay, and founder Amy will demonstrate techniques to inspire you. From earrings to hair pins, necklaces to bracelets, you can choose from a wide range of colours, patterns, shapes and colours.

And if you have a particular outfit in mind that you wish to wear with your new jewellery, Amy can help to support you in design and colour matching too.
