When did you first come across Harvey George?

I first came across Harvey George on my search for vanity units for clients.

As a designer, I am always looking for products that can be tailored to each project.

Harvey George has many different options available which makes things a lot less restrictive.

I am always keen to see products in real life before recommending them, so last year I was pleased to see its showroom in Harrogate was just about to open at Hookstone Park and planned in a visit.

How have you worked with Harvey George to help clients envisage and bring their dream spaces to life?

The team at Harvey George have always been helpful in finding the right product for my clients, giving samples and support in the showroom.

If my clients are local, I suggest they visit the showroom with myself to go through colour, countertop and handle suggestions along with brassware options.

This gives them added confidence in the products, to see them in real life rather than just through the website.

What are your favourite pieces from Harvey George?

I like the Ava vanity unit as it provides many options to tailor need to the client’s specifications.

It can be made bespoke to the customer's needs, choosing undermount or sit-on sinks, different handle options and drawers or doors.

You specialise in bathroom design, do you have a project that stands out the most?

One of my favourite projects was a small dark en-suite that needed updating.

The space was brightened up by using marble basketweave mosaic for the floor and white glazed tiles laid vertically for a clean look.

I needed a small unit to fit the space, the Ava unit in sage green was a perfect addition to add a bit of colour to the design.

As there was a window behind the unit, a deck mounted tap was used on a simple white countertop and sit-on oval sink.

Looking ahead to 2025, what in your opinion are the bathroom trends going to be?

Bathrooms are sometimes overlooked in their longevity, so I tend not to follow any trends as such and more the use of natural materials, quality products and clean, simple finishes.

I think we will see a bigger emphasis on Biophilic design, using earthy tones and finishes such as terracotta and warmer veined marbles.

Brass will continue to bring warmth to the schemes but finishes like polished nickel will always be classic. I particularly like the classic style of the Perrin & Rowe brassware.

Harvey George has many products to bring a design together like its vanity units, freestanding baths and brassware.
