Harrogate-born Harry Gray made his debut for Leeds United yesterday as they secured promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites' emphatic 6-0 victory against Stoke City proved enough to confirm their place back in England’s top tier.

Besides the scoreline, Leeds fans may have been most excited about the debut of Gray, who is just 16 years old.

He came on in the 86th minute to replace Brendan Aaronson to start another chapter in the remarkable Gray family dynasty.

Harry's grandfather Frank, and father Andy both played for the club. His great uncle, Eddie Gray, is a Leeds United legend who made 577 appearances, and his older brother Archie left the Elland Road side to join Tottenham Hotspur for £30 million in the summer.

Archie voiced his pride in an Instagram post yesterday.

Leeds fans will be hoping they can keep hold of Harry a bit longer than his brother, though: Archie joined Spurs just a year after making his senior debut at the start of the 2023/24 season.

Last season, the then 15-year-old Harry scored seven goals in 11 appearances for Leeds under-18s.

This season, despite suffering from a back injury that put him out for seven months, he has scored seven goals in eight appearances for the under-21s.

In February, the young striker was also called up to the England under-17s set up, where he made his debut against the Netherlands.
