The Knaresborough Players is performing Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit this week at Frazer Theatre, Knaresborough.
This ‘improbable farce’ explores marriage, life and death and is ripe with Coward’s signature pithy wit and memorable characters.

The story tells the tale of a spiritualist medium who holds a seance for a writer suffering from writer’s block but accidentally summons the spirit of his deceased first wife, which leads to an increasingly complex love triangle with his current wife of five years.

The Harrogate Keyboard Club is celebrating its 50th birthday with an anniversary concert on Thursday.
Taking place at The Manhattan Club on Beech Avenue, Mark Thompson will be playing a selection of tunes from all decades and genres during this two-hour concert.
The Harrogate Keyboard Club, formerly the Organ Society, has entertained music fans from all over the Harrogate area and is one of few which presents a regular monthly live concert in Harrogate.

As Halloween approaches, what better time to go on a ghost hunt?
Haunted Adventure is holding its event at Ripon Workhouse where attendees will get the opportunity to see what life in the workhouse was like, and hopefully experience the many spooky goings on that are reported by staff and visitors alike.
Many have apparently seen ghostly figures in parts of the building, unexplained bangs and knocks and doors opening and closing of their own accord. Some have also reported having their clothes pulled, and voices coming from empty rooms.
As well as using ghost hunting equipment, attendees can also take park in seances and conduct lone vigils if they're brave enough.

Holistic performance and wellbeing coach Richie Norton is leading a retreat workshop for mind, body and soul on Saturday.
Taking place on Harewood Estate in Harrogate, the itinerary will include a 90-minute breathwork and restorative movement workshop, tools for resilience, and how to overcome and adapt to the stress response, including learning how to build a personal practice.
The event will finish with a woodland walk followed by a shared lunch.
