See the botanical artworks of eighteenth-century artist Mary Delany at Beningbrough Hall's new art exhibition. Recently opened, it features Delany’s 'paper mosaics' in the hall’s Reddihough Galleries, and the work of other artists including new sculptures by Rebecca Stevenson in the Great Hall.
Visitors can also immerse themselves in the interactive origami room designed by York artist Kate Buckley and admire abstract photography collages by York St John Fine Art student Amy Martina.

Taking place at one of the country’s oldest cricket clubs, Follifoot Dog Show makes for a fun family day out.
The dog show takes places at 11.30am, and people can make a day of it as they can buy drinks from the bar or food from the barbecue – and the weather looks set to be fine and dry too.

St Cecilia Orchestra is performing songs from the shows of The Golden Age of Hollywood at Ripon Cathedral.
Featuring tunes from hit screen musicals, sung by soprano Henna Munn, and tenor Marcus Swietlicki, the first half of the concert opens with Gershwin’s jazz-influenced ‘American in Paris’ and features St Cecilia’s leader, Richard Fletcher, playing the violin concerto by master of Hollywood film scores, Erich Korngold.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what you can and can’t eat from nature, then this is the foraging course for you.
Eager-to-learn new foragers will meet at The Fountaine Inn in Linton then your instructor will teach you how to safely identify the different species of edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms.
The exploration will also include a homemade refreshment break, such as a warming hogweed and wild garlic soup or elderflower champagne.
After the walk, attendees will end the day with a tasty wild food meal, with ingredients eaten found from the walk.

Turning Point Brew Co. in Knaresborough is holding its monthly taproom event this Friday and Saturday.
The bar will be serving beers from its casks, kegs and cans; and you can even take beers away with you too.
On Saturday, there will be food from Kirky's Chinese as well as live music from Nirvana Band. Make the most as it's the last one for the year as during the winter months the Taproom is closed.
