Car stolen from Ripon in keyless theft

A motor vehicle has been stolen from Ripon in a keyless car theft.

The theft happened on September 14 between midnight and 7.50am.

A Ford Fiesta in Blue vrm, registration YC66 UWJ, was stolen from the driveway of an address of Wheatsheaf Close.

The incident was uploaded by police to the North Yorkshire community messaging page.

The force said:

Please can residents check their CCTV for any footage for around this time to see if any suspects have been captured on CCTV. 

The theft happened just days after North Yorkshire Police released a statement raising awareness on the tactics used in keyless car thefts.
